I am looking for any information on an Archibald Ramage or Rammage B abt 1715, I know he married twice at St Peters Leeds, firstly in 1741 to Anne Renton & secondly to a delightfully named Smithson Peverell in1757, Does any one have any further information that may be of help in finding his parentage & any siblings, Im  also looking for any children that he may of had from Anne Renton.

The new familysearch site just gives his marriage to Ann Renton on 18 Sep 1741.

There are no baptisms for any children and his second marriage is not listed.

familysearch.org has these children....

Elizabeth Ramage baptised 14 Sept 1758 at St. Peter, Leeds - father Archibald Ramage, mother not shown
Mary Ramage baptised 5 Mar 1764 at St. Peter, Leeds - father Archibald Ramage, mother not shown
Robert Ramage baptised 6 Jan 1762 at St. Peter, Leeds - father Archibald Ramage, mother not shown

Henry Ramage baptised 8 Jan 1769 at Chester le Street, County Durham - father Archibald Ramage, mother Smithson Ramage
John Ramage baptised 27 Feb 1760 at Chester le Street, County Durham - father Archibakd Ramage, mother not shown

There are also Ramage children born in Liverpool to a Archibald Ramage and Ann ?? but this may well be a different family....possibly she was Ann Rigby.

I wasn't trying to undermine you!

I find the Familysearch site a bit of a hit and miss at times, you have to be very careful with the filters and dates, like you I have not always come up with expected results but other people have found out a lot more! Swings and roundabouts spring to mind.......

hi, i know about Archies 2nd wife Smithson & am looking for any children by his first wife Anne Renton? also looking for any info on his birth & deatc locations, wouldnt be surprised if both were in scotland. Archibald seems to be a bit of an elusive character where hibirth & death are concerned!
