Wakefield Archives

Hoping someone can help me PLEASE????

I am hoping someone will be visiting Wakefield Archives sometime soon and if you are could you please look something up for me??

I am looking for a baptism of Thomas Archer born in 1828 give or take a year, but i think its 1828.  He was born in Badsworth in Yorkshire. Apparently Wakefield Archives holds the baptism records for St Marys church in badsworth.  This is where i believe he was baptised.

I would be very grateful if someone could have a look for me please as i live 120 miles away and cant get there.

Thank you, my fingers are crossed.

John.

Hi John

they have the fiches for Badsworth St Marys at our local library so I've had a look for you.

I checked from 1825 to 1830 and there were no Archers.

The only possibility is Thomas, son of Thomas and Dinah Acker of Badsworth, labourer.  Could this be yours?

Sandra

Hi Sandra

Thanks very much for looking for me.  I assumed he would have been there as the 1861 census said he was born in Badsworth.

All is not lost though as i have his marriage ref so i have sent off for his marriage cert.  I will keep looking through census's and see what else pops up.  Thanks again though sandra.
