Be very wary of accepting information available from other people's research unless they can tell you their sources. Lots of information out there, especially on the internet, is not correct. You have to check things yourself. Indices are useful, but you need to look at the original documents. For example, if you look at the actual entries for these baptisms you might be given the exact address in the parish, perhaps the father's occupation, and the names of witnesses, who may be relatives. You say you are new to family research, but have got back to the 17th century. How did you get there? Have you genuine documented evidence linking each generation from you back to John Buddo?
