Hello Everyone, I really would appreciate any help on this one;
I have traced my great grandparents and their respective families to the 1901 census. My Grandfather was born in 1904 but was brought up by his grand parents as there was some sort of split in the family. My Father was never told the story and he has no idea what happened to his grandparents. I have been trying to find my great grandmother for 2 years now and can get no further - or not until the 1911 census becomes available - info to date;
1891 census my Great Grandmother was Annie Marie Neve, aged 16, living with her family at 261 New Cross Road, Deptford. She was born 1874 Camberwell.
1901 census took some finding as the family were at the same address as 1891 but for some reason (or mistake) entered as Reeves instead of Neve.
Annie Neve married my Great Grandfather, Cornelius Terry in March 1902, Greenwich. I have copy certificate and both parties confirmed as correct.
In January 1904, my Grandfather Leslie Neil Terry was born and his birh certificate states family (Cornelius and Annie) living at Adelaide Rd, Brockley, London.
......That's it... no more details except for the fact that Cornelius was in the Army during WWI and he died at Hammersmith hospital in 1938. Death registered by son Leslie (who died in 1984).
Therefore, I have have no further trace of Annie after 1904. The only lead that proved futile was an Annie Marie Terry married a man called turner in 1910 (Camberwell) but the certificate came back with an Annie 9 years too young and with the wrong father.
Any help in tracing what happened to Annie would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance
