In 1995 I was contacted by a Canadian Bott descendant (he was at the time VP ofthe Quebec Family History Society). We exchanged info, to my advantage.

7: Samuel Bott was born November 26, 1693 (Colchester Monthly Meeting)
He died in West Mersey, Essex in 1729
Samuel Bott married in 1715 Hannah Webb 1692- the daughter of Charles Webb & Anne Durrell in either Colchester St Peter or Peldon Parish Church according to the Marriage Licence dated December 22, 1715 from the Bishop of London's Commissary Court - Essex & Herts division. Both couples indicated that they were residents of West Mersey.
Known children of Samuel Bott & Hanna Webb:
1: Elizabeth Bott was born April 4, 1721 Baptized April 30, 1721 W Mersey.
She was buried September 25, 1808 in W Mersey.
She married on July 6, 1742 in Colchester St Mary Magdalene William Overall.
William Overall c1720-1763 was buried May 13, 1763 in W Mersey.
2: Hannah Bott child buried Nov. 24, 1721 in W Mersey.
3: Hannah Bott child buried Apr. 24, 1726 in W Mersey
As most, if not all Essex Botts were Quakers they are unlikely to appear in parish records.
