I do not use this program but looking online at the manual, it seems straightforward.
See attached instruction for changing a colour image to black/white.
The free program "Photoscape" is a very versatile program and well worth having a look at

~ one click change from colour to greyscale.
~ one click change from greyscale to sepia.
~ many more adjustments easily done.
