James MASCALL/MASKELL

Hi

I'm looking for any info on a family of Mascall/Maskell/Mascel.

James Mascall was born 1814 in Heathfield, East Sussex, UK
he married Philadelphia Row/Rose in Heathfield 1846 (she was born in Heathfield 1811)
on the 1851 census they had 2 children William born 1847 Heathfield and Thomas born 1849 Heathfield.
They went to Australia on the Talbot in 1857. Not sure if they settled in Victoria.
Did the boys marry and have any families!.

I think Ruth Had more children after William died in 1884 and Olive may have been one of those seeing as how she was born after William died { so was Ebebnezer but Ruth may have been pregnant when William died } I will go back and have another look

Strange that Ruth married Nicol but was buried as MASKELL ??

Hi Alison

Thanks so much for all the information.
So pleased the boys got married and had families.
There no death of James Maskell or did I miss that.
Can you find out when Ruth Errey went to Australia.
There are Errey families in the Heathfield area,
already have some Erreys in my tree.

Hi Sue,

I can see a large number of MASKELL's are buried in the region of Cobden, Camperdown, Port Cambell.

Included in the listing are WILLIAM and THOMAS with wives and some family listed.

These two men have headstones and I can send you photos of them, but would need your email address to do so

I can also send you particulars of the other MASKELL's at the Cemeteries.

It will  be best to exchange this information via the PM system, though. (Lazy typist )

If anything of specific interest turns up in the listings, it can of course be brought over to the main board .
