I am trying trace the marriage date and husband of Jean Walker Brown who was born in 1903 in Hartlepool, County Durham but brought up in Middlesbrough. She lost touch with her family when she move away, but died in 2001 at Nelson House, Louden Square, Cardiff with the married name of Jeane Christian.

All I can find that will fit with all this is firstly the marriage of a Jean Brown and a John Johnson which took place in the Durham South Eastern District in the July quarter of 1943-Volume 10a,Page 209.I then found the marriage of a Jeane W Johnson to a David Christian in the Cardiff District in the July quarter of 1947-Volume 8b,Page 341.

There are maybe a couple of Johnson children with the maiden name of Brown born in the Durham South Eastrn District 1943-45.

Many thanks again William. I have done some cross checking and the information seems to fit. Also I have found matches on the GenesReunited site so I might make more progress.
