Historic Records for the RC Parish of Lorrha-and-Dorrha are available in the National Library in Dublin in Microfilm Pos. 2480. These cover baptisms and marriages from 1829, with at least one gap around the end of 1844.

see : Parish of Lorrha-and-Dorrha  (Irish Times)

Early records often give very basic information, so I dont think there would be any more detail than those transcribed by RootsIreland... but no harm in checking.

Portumna Bridge is the one just east of the town over the Shannon.

see : Portuma Bridge   (OSI Map)

Part of the RC parish of Lorrah and Dorrha includes Hayes Island in the middle of the river.
