Hi,

Attached is an unidentified picture from my mothers treasure box..inscription on back..Glasgow Edinburgh & Greenock.

I can post pictures of my grand parents in their 60's if a match could be made from that.

Right around the start of the war, Kaz...about 1914 or so.

It's hard to tell as they worked so hard back then, but what age do you thinks she would be ? Do you see a wedding ring?

Thanks Carol,

I'm now thinking it could be my maternal grandmother b. 1897 -and the picture was perhaps taken in their home town of Greenock just before my grandfather went off to WW1.. they marrried Feb 1915 my grand father went off to WW1 June 1915..
Great.. i will post a picture of my grandmother side by side at a later date... for a comparison

Why don't you think it would be a photo taken at the time of her wedding? No wedding dress? That's a pretty modern invention and a great and wasteful luxury. Many people got married in a best outfit....and didn't necessarily get a bride&groom photo taken. Most couples were photographed, but separately.

Sounds completely alien, I know :)
