Prevett Marriage
« on: Thursday 17 March 11 13:36 GMT (UK) »

I wonder if I can find someone researching the Prevett family I believe from Worth.

I finally found the last of my grandmother's sisters, I knew she had married late, in fact at 49 , but could not believe who she had married, Florence had in fact married George Prevett he was 93 a Blind old age pensioner in 1945 in Holborn, George died in 1948.

George Prevett was a widower, he was married to Sarah Alice Sharp.

On the marriage certificate one on the witness was Mrs M Tollett, the widowed daughter-in-law of George.

Hi Ugo

If you have access to Ancestry, there is a huge tree created and maintained by Chris Prevett of all the known Sussex Prevett families. He shows your George Prevett as the son of Thomas Prevett and Ann Kinning, and he was born in Worth

Chris has traced George Prevett's lineage back to about 1600

Hi Sussexbb,

I only use Ancestry from time to time, not able to make contact with any of the trees shown.

I have managed to piece a tree  together for George & Sarah and their children.

Thanks for the interest.
