You need to give more information

When was he born

Where was he born

Was he married in 1911

If he was born before 1881 - have you checked the 1881 census for him
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Hello  :)
You can check for births, marriages, and deaths on freebmd:

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

There's a marriage in 1906 of Frederick George Bowen at Madely registration district.
Bride either Margaret Priscilla Briscoe or Sarah Hannah Jones

You can view 1881 census free:

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp

Choose census option, and then 1881 British Census fron dropdown menu

Kind Regards
Morgan

Hello  :)

The occupation could be Check Weigher.

Living at Garndiffaith he could have worked at one of a number of collieries.  Have you seen the Welsh Coal Mines site?
