Hiya Mick
Theres a death for a Violet Sanderson in Rotherham in 1977 gives her birthdate as 8 October 1901 so she won't be in the 1901 census.

thanks carolanne
i did already have the death date of violet sanderson but as there is no record in the 1901 census because of her birth date it is proving most difficult to get a start.

Have you checked Freebmd for her birth? There don't appear to be any for the right quarter in Yorkshire. Do you know where Violet was born? Did she have any siblings?

If you purchase her marriage certificate you should get her father's name, and he may be traceable in the 1901 census.

Hello,
I think we are searching for the same Violet (Dean) Sanderson. Did she have 4 children?
