Whats the meaning of this Irish Townland

Hi all,
    I am interested to try and find out the meaning of this townland in Co Kerry.

Cill Mhic Iarainn (Kilmackerrin)


From my limited research I have concluded the meaning to be, "burial ground in the mountains", but would appreciate if anyone could help with the translation.

I think mhic means son of

Not sure about the Iarainn part, but sounds a bit like the Irish for Iron ...

Possibly Cill mhic Ciaran? (Church of the son of Kieran) - there is a Killvickeran near Ballinskelligs...
