Has anyone got any information (ascendants etc) on Eliza Bowen b 1844 in Rorrington? (this could be an incorrect census spelling?)

Have never heard of 'Rorrington' but there is a 'Dorrington' near Shrewsbury

I have just come across Rorrington, it appears to be a hamlet just next to Chirbury, Shropshire.

This seems a possibility for 1851 - in 1861 Eliza is a servant in Wednesfield.

There are several births of Elizabeth Bowens registered in Shropshire in 1843/4 but only one is in the Montgomery Registration District which includes Chirbury.

Births Sep 1843
BOWEN    Elizabeth         Montgomery    27   95

If you order it it should confirm Elizabeth's mother's surname.
