So are you saying you already have the marriage certificate of Richard King to Ann (which may or may not be the 1839 one) and that you therefore know the name of her father and his occupation?

Sorry I was getting confused! - I have the birth cert of Francis Robert King which is where it states mother's name: Ann King, formerly Porritt..
