Please can someone do a look up for William Parker born 1844 in Derbyshire and registered in Shardlow district vol:19 - page:560....I am trying to find the names of his parents.

Hi,

Trouble with Shardlow Registration District is that it covers other counties apart from Derbyshire,
i.e. Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire.

Birth was registered Sept Q 1844, so by 1851 Census William would have been 6, a long shot
but there is:-

Clifford's Row, Long Eaton 1851 HO 107/2141 F 45 Pg 8

Parker John  Head M  29 Lace Maker          Long Eaton
"       Sarah   wife   M  25                            Lincoln
"     William   son         6   Scholar               Long Eaton
"     James    son          5     "                           "
"    Eliza        dau         5 months                     "

The only sure way is to purchase the Birth Registration Certificate.

Hi,
Thanks for that but I have already ruled him out as he appears on the 1881 census and is married to a different partner. The William Parker that I am searching for got married to Sarah Jane Hickling in 1874 and appears on the 1881 census living in Loughborough; I believe that he died in 1890. I was hoping he might appear in Parish or baptism records. If anyone can help I would be most grateful!
