Nathaniel Hurcombe born 1833 Kings Stanley
« on: Wednesday 09 March 11 23:23 GMT (UK) »
My family are related to Nathanield Hurcombe who was an unmarried woolswiller who lived  in Kings Stanley, he had 6 children in 1881 cencus, Nathaniel aged 11, Harriet 12,George 9, Frederick Walter 7, Charles 4 and Lilly who was born in 1884, can anyone help me find out what happened to these relatives. The children were previously in name of Farmiloe but believe that they may have later been known by name of Hurcombe. Hester Farmiloe who also resided with him died in 1885. Thank you. I believe the address was either Pen or Fen Lane, Kings Stanley.

Have you checked freebmd for marriages under both surnames

www.freebmd.org.uk

The free 1911 index has an entry for Charles Farmiloe b 1877 Gloucester living in Tetbury

Quote
and Lilly who was born in 1884

There is no birth on freebmd in 1884 - only this one

Lily Orinah Farmiloe March qtr 1885  Stroud   6a   357

Hester's death is recorded in the June qtr of the same year

Lily is mis-transcribed as Farmilves in 1891

She is 6yrs old and a boarder with Leonard Hale 59 and wife Susan 57 and is living in Painswick.  The Hales had 3 other child boarders

Per freebmd Nathaniel snr died 1899 and Nathaniel Junior in 1934

1901 Nathaniel jnr aged 29 b Stroud is incorrectly transcribed as Harcombe and is in lodgings in Cainscross.  He is unmarried  RG13 Piece 2434Folio 68 Page 21
