I will try to see if I can get further contacts that you could use. The graves may be recorded in unnoficial surveys or lists compiled by history groups etc... :-)

I think 1904 may be too late for them to be in EK old parish Church kirk, so I think the later East Kilbride Cemetary is very likely.

kind regards

Chris

The cemetary opened in 1904, and records are available in it of the graves there. I will try to see if I can source a phone number.

Wonderful, Chris!  By the way I think we may be rudely hijacking Lodger's thread.  Let's go back to email (*).  Perhaps we'll get enough of general interest to start another thread.

Hi Lodger
Where in Glasgow area is the Cambusnethan churchyard headstones?

Grave sites before 1860 - are they located at the same cemetry?

Also, Blackhall, Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire - where can I locate this place as shown in my Barrie family baptism records in early 1800's?

I am visiting Glasgow area in early September 2011 and would like to find the above.

Thank you.

Is that Cambusnethan Old Parish Church, Coronation St, Wishaw as shown on Google maps?

Do you know where Blackhall, Cambusnethan is located?  It might be an old name of a farm or a village in this area?

All the children of John Barry and Mary Forrest were born in Blackhall, Cambusnethan.  First child Margaret 1796 and last child shown in Blackhall Elisabeth 1808.
