Have been sitting here for hours watching in horror thanks to TV3 live internet feed.  I feel for the presenter who is doing admirably to hold it together herself.

We were trying to think of ways we can help and I thought I'd share some lateral ideas in case they help with that feeling of helplessness one may feel....

  • Be prepared yourself with an emergency kit
  • Stay in touch with someone during the course of the day so they know where you are
  • Donate $
  • Give blood even in coming weeks
  • Add an I.C.E. number to your cellphone (In case of emergency)
  • Make sure your will is up to date.
  • Take it upon yourself to check regularly on another in your own neighbourhood especially if they don't have family near-by

Awful, just awful.  :(

just heard on the news 17 confirmed deaths, and many more expected. Tears streaming down my face, watching all the office workers, such rotten timing this time.
