My friend in Napier text me this morning the TV has been on since
Its shocking news as we were just there in Christchurch on our cruise in December
We walked through the Cathedral and sat and listened to the children singing carols around the tree
My relatives in Christchurch are OK but they say it is scary

Suzy we never did meet for that coffee  in Christchurch glad you are safe

not knowing where to go at this terrible time

It is absolutely dreadful, my grandaughters Fathers house is wrecked ... but luckily they are all safe and well.. thank goodness --  I send all my prayers to them all...

Having been in New Zealand last year and being in Christchurch a week after the earthquake when there were still trembles I must say I feel so sorry for you all, unfortunately we were not allowed into Christchurch cathedral as it was closed due to falling masonry, we spoke to 2 church officials who gave lots of information, it is  a beautiful place, it is dreadful to see it in ruins now, it is a beautiful country and my heart goes out to everyone affected.

I am sure along with others my prayers are with you
