i know this has nothing to do with rutherglen but i don't know how to contact you
my question is in relation to John Strang who according to other entries on this site mention that he was killed at Elgin Colliery in 1847 however i can find no reference to him in any of the coal mining material i have searched.
i am currently researching coal miners in the family. Robert Strang b. 1802 son of John Strang and Margaret Westwater is the paternal grandfather of wife of my great grand uncle.
i am related to the Strang branch that came to Australia
i would be most appreciative of any information you can give me in regards to John and Elgin Colliery
