hi looking for info on a William Perry from Ballymaghroe, Co Wicklow b approx 1835- he had at least one son Frederick Perry and possibly more

The townland of Ballymaghroe seems to be split between three adjacent civil parishes (which are generally equivalent to Church of Ireland parishes).  Killiskey, Moyne & Hacketstown

Parts of the parish of Hacketstown are in Co. Carlow

The dates covered for these parishes in the RCB Library are as follows :
 
  Killiskey    batp 1818 / marr. 1818 / d 1824     
  Moyne    bapt 1879 / marr. 1846 / d 1879
  Hacketstown   bapt 1877 / marr. 1845 / d 1878

There's a few Perry individuals listed in the area on Griffith's Valuation and slightly later than Frederick's birth, including two William Perry listings in the townland of Ballymaghroe, although these could both relate to the same property and person. One of the listing is in Moyne, the other in Hacketstown.

just a quick update, and correction to the previous post - there seems to be a separate townland of Ballymaghroe, the one in the civil parish of Killiskey, which is locate further to  north east and on the coast.

Based on Griffith's Valuation the other townlands named Ballymaghroe fit your details much better. Although listed in the townland database (www.thecore.com/seanruad) as separate townlands, this Ballymaghroe is more likely a single townland split between two civil parishes. These are to the west of the town of Ashford (~3km) and adjacent to each other. They can be seen on the OSI 6" maps (c1820/1840). The green line  indicates the civil parish boundaries, with Hacketstown to the west and Moyne to the east.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I am also trying to see if there is a link between Anthony Perry of 1798 and my William Perry. Anthony Perry United Irishman had built Perrymount in Inch, Co Wexford, had married Eliza Forde ( d/o Andrew Forde)of  Ballyfad and had 3 children A Perry was C of I. Perrymount was sold not long afterwards I believe. I don't know where they went to.

I believe the Frederick Perry you mentioned is my Great Grandfather.  I know there is a link back to Anthony Perry but I don't have the exact details.
