Coulson, Creighton & their link to the Taylor family, Roxby cum Risby
« on: Tuesday 01 March 11 19:54 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

In 1851 farmer John Taylor & some of his children are listed with an Edwin Coulson, 'nephew'.  In 1861 Edwin is with his parents, William & Eliza(beth) (Creighton) in Glandford Brigg.  Eliza Creighton is the possible daughter of Nathaniel & Sarah Allen, married Yarburgh.  Elizabeth Allen (from Louth?)  is the possible wife of our farmer John Taylor.

Does anybody have any info on these families - I am very keen to verify the wife of John Taylor.

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, it looks like it, he was "of Roxby". :) http://freereg.rootsweb.com/cgi/SearchResults.pl?RecordType=Marriages&RecordID=1359467
