Not sure why there would be a registration district mentioned on such an early marriage - I would think an 1828 record would mention the parish name.

Where does the detail of the marriage come from ?

I would think the first step would be to check for Seville baptisms in the same parish as the marriage in later years. I dont imagine that Seville is a common surname in the area, which should make the search easier.

You didn't mention a religion for the family, but one detail worth noting is that the parishes gradually altered over the years - e.g. areas previously included in the large Booterstown RC parish were moved to parishes of Dundrum and Blackrock...

Do you know any more about James and Sarah - e.g. where in the parish the lived at the time of their marriage ?

are they your ancestors ?

Maybe your start should be with a definite more recent link...e.g. their children, and then work your way back.

p.s. do you have James's Occupations (jnr & snr) from the 1871 marriage ?

Nothing on occupations of james.

The Seville in Cabinteely in the 1901 census  have not found a direct link yet but all family names are familar to  the rest of my tree so i reckon they are connected.
