David Williams - Captain of ship "Provincialist"

Looking for any information on Captain David Williams. Captain of ship "Provincialist" which sailed out of Derry(Londonderry) mainly to Philadelphia in the mid 1800's.

Hello there,

The ship Provincialist was built in 1839 she was 880 tons and was built in Canada the builder being Edw. Wilson Chamcook N.B.
she was operated out of the port of Londonderry by the Mc Corkell line.

If you go to their website and click on ships you will get the above information, if you click on links you will find that most of their records are with the public record office of Northern Ireland their link is http://www.proni.gov.uk/ many of their records are searchable in their e-catalogue
