Yes I realised last night when I went to bed that the Henney family did not fit.  ???  Stumped again.

When James married Grace he was a Millwright - not sure he had been that all his working life.

I can not seem to spot either James or Grace in the 1901 census. Have you found them? I can only see Grace in 1881.

I'm sorry, yes I have found Grace on a 1901 Census, it appears she is still living with her parents at the age of 23.  So James Barr is on his own somewhere.

This may be James Barr :-

I've just found a 1881 Census in ScotlandsPeople for James Barr (14) b. 1867 in Kilwinning, Ayr with brother, Robert Barr (24?), born in Ireland (both coal miners) and sister Mary Barr (12) b. 1869 in Kilwinning, Ayr.  Their mother is Elizabeth McPhearson (42) b.1839? Ireland.  She's remarried to Peter McPhearson (44)?, Argyle also a coal miner.  But I cannot find them on anymore Census'  ???
