Smaje - Shop keepers

I am wanting to find out more information with reference to the Smaje family in Liverpool during later part 1800 in to 1900`s.
The family owned a number of shops in the Liverpool area mainly Cordial manufactures.

Any help or information would be appreciated.

There seems to be a Herman David Smaje, cordial manufacturer, (born ca1839) in 1871 and in 1881 in London (St George in the East) - may be son of the one who was in Sussex Street, Toxteth Park in 1861  ???.

Died 16 August 1917
Regiment, 24445  Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers 8th Battalion
Formed at Omagh Oct. 1914-K2-49th Bde. 16th Div. at Tipperary. Subsequent record same as 7th Battalion.
 
FORMERLY 5417, ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY.

Still Smaje family here is Speke and Garston in Liverpool....in fact one lady writes most weeks in the Liverpool Echo in the letters in the sports pages after the weekend games...she is a fanatical Everton fan...if you go online , you will see her letters in the Liverpool Echo...and the crazy thing is her dad is a mad Rugby fan and until recently played for South Liverpool RU
