It is good to see that Red Cross in UK now has an appeal for donations to NZEarthquake.  I suspect they will get a good response from us.

Suzy, I am sure you are doing the right thing not to let the children watch tv so they can have as "normal"  a day as possible in the circumstances.

I know many of my overseas's contacts have donated to the "Red Cross"  Please if anyone is giving money make sure it is a official org.  Never give to anyone phoning and asking for money, double check web sites, and make sure you get a receipt.  Sadly there are low life out there who take advantage of these situations.

Today marks one week.  We have a national two min silence at 12.51pm.

Did any of the NZ RC'S watch Campbell Live last night?  I was totally mad and thought Campbell was a real pratt not allowing the "moon man" say his thoughts on March 20th coming,  If this man is right and we will get another big shake up, are we not best to be prepared than go through it all again?   
My sister has watched Ken Rings site since September and all his mapping of the moon and tides along with large aftershocks have came true.
I keep a open mind, will not panic, but will keep my emergency supplies stocked.

Yes, I thought John Campbell was being rude too - he constantly talked over him and yet didn't do that to the scientists.  Why invite him on if you don't want to listen to him?  Maybe John is getting tired from odd hours and being away from home down there, but still....

I could understand what JOhn  Campbell was trying to do, but he is an interviewer and with his experience he should have been able to interview Mr Ring in a balanced and fair manner.

If its true sure it would be great to plan for, sadly I was listening to ZB yet again all night and the information is frighterning to many..I guess thats the danger that John Campbell was warning against.

It makes sense but if it wa that easy surely the scientists would have clicked on to it

If John Campbell allowed Ken Ring to say his piece, he would of said that there was a strong possibility of another quake come March 20th between Hamner Springs and Amberley.  It will be a strong quake up to a "8" but could not tell if it was very deep in the ground.  

If this happened it would effect Wellington and most of the South Island and would just finish of already damaged buildings in Christchurch.

Ken Ring also said there is risk of any small shake come this Saturday.  Another thing he noted for April was floods in  for Christchurch, as our water table is lying low now.  But after April all should come right with the moon finally moving away from the earth.

I know John was trying protect the people of Christchurch from anymore scare.  As sixty thousand people have left already.  But if there is some inch of truth in Ken's mapping of the moon, we should be prepared.

If he had just let him have his say then ask him his accuracy rate and then asked the scientists their view people could make up their own minds. 

But it was odd, like inviting on one of the psychics from Sensing Murder and then just talking over them while they tried to speak and then having the President of the Sceptic Society and let them have free reign - not very balanced. 

If you are not interested in letting him speak, why invite him on?

Just had a 4.3.  Honestly my heart leaped out of my chest for that one.

I think it is so sad seeing so many people leaving.  We live close to the airport, and the last few days has just been plane after plane going out.  More like the blitz of London when children had to leave, some never to return.

Christchurch needs it's locals to come back when things settle, sadly many are saying that is it.  The Wizard of Christchurch had second thoughts and has returned.

As for John Campbell, he was more upsetting than seeing the ruins on T.V.  We do not need people acting in such a manner.  He clearly showed signs of not coping with our aftershocks and bit like a savage dog.
 I could go on t.v a say my mouth gets very dry before a quake over "5" and I did a week beforehand, would he ask if I went to Uni for that qualification?

... gosh! that 4.3 was shallow at 2km .... thinking of you all constantly of course, especially so though at 12.51pm today ...((( group hug )))  .... and  re J.C ... very rarely give him the time of day anyway...
