ChCh Quake Again 2 (Completed)
« on: Friday 25 February 11 20:48 GMT (UK) »
We have reached 20 pages and now have to start another thread.

Thanks Jan for letting me know about Newbe.  She had it tough last time.  Was she working in Lyttelton when the 6.3 struck on Tuesday?

Even with a few good nights sleep, amazing how tired we are.  Even my 6am boy slept to 8.am this morning.

Oh..Was she hurt in any way?  She has had it hard with these quakes, seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Amazing how one can cope a bit better if sleep is okay
There was a programme other night looking at what use is sleep...well doesn't need a tv programme to know its VITAL!!

Glad to hear Newbe is OK,  was getting a bit worried.   Thanks for keeping us up to date Suzy and Janette.     If you've had enough of the chaos....catch a flight and come to Perth...plenty of room in my house.....just a pity I live so far away that I can't help someone.

Wild fires in Perth still?
I read in the "That life" magazine the fortune tellers were saying you could get a shake up as well this year.  I was taken aback when I read the other things they said would happen, floods in Queensland, and the magazine was printed two weeks before that happened.
So maybe not a trip to Perth.

Those who love our city dearly have stuck it out, while some flee others stay or come to help.

You are all brave to cope with this sort of tragedy
I suppose you get used the little  shudders that come from time to time but when a big quake like this one comes along you find extra strength and you keep going

take every day as it comes
you are doing well Suzy
like many I wish we could help but we are too far away

Thankfully...it's been quiet lately on the fire front.  It's going to be very hot for the next week or 10 days,  but the fire ratings are low....(high humidity) so that's a good change.

I will be moving in your direction later this year....so sort those earthquakes out Suzy!!     ;)
