Maybe some of the R.C's out there can help me.  I have come out in mouth ulcers, it is so hard to eat, drink and talk (much to the relief of my children) Any home remedies?  Should I use a needle to pop the painful one under my tongue?

Well the roads have got very busy, the amount of trucks that have been using the roads is incredible.  Our house tends to shake even more with all the activity, but a job has to be done.

Suzy
The only thing I can tell you is to rub Toothpaste on your sores
Don't burst the one under your tongue you might get an infection

Try rinsing your mouth with salt water. Rubbing garlic on the sores is supposed to be an old remedy. Do not use a needle to burst them (danger of infection as aspin says).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

All sorts of natural remedies here Suzy. I don't know if any of them will work better than others but there is a fair chance you will have some of these ingredients in the house! ;D

Thanks for the great idea. Will get started on them today.

Just been reading the newspaper.  Interesting stories coming out.  The Christchurch gondola (building) was  hit by boulders.  One of the staff members was able to get everyone out just in time, only two American tourist were trapped in the capsule 30 metres up in the air.  The staff were quick on their feet and used ropes to get them down.  Sadly they did not get the names of the poor couple who needed to be saved, they were in such shock they could not talk.

A little 9 month baby was killed when the Television set fell onto him snapping his little neck.  His mother held him for eight hours.  This is one of the most saddest stories of all.

Suzy
in latest AU WWeekly they have some remedies..including good mouth wash
but they suggested cool tea bags rung out and applied to ulcer..said the tannin in them was good for healing ulcers. Avoid acidic foods until healed.

Anti fungal lozenges if infection/thrush.

Hi Suzy,

A gel called Bongela is a medication for mouth ulcers but if you have Marmite use that - either smear it on or put it on toast and eat.

Hi Spades.  I have Bongela for ulcers and it is not working!  My mouth is very sore, and can not talk very well.  Think the stress of last Tuesday has kicked in.

Aftershocks do not seem that often any more.  It is unlike the Sep 4th, thankfully they are stopping a little quicker, but  a different fell about them, not a jolting shake more like a rolling sea sick feeling.
