You hang out there if not for you but as you say for your Children

When we were in the Cathedral in December there was a young priest with the mothers and the children
It looked like they were from a nursery as the children were very small .So has the Cathedral more than one priest

we also noticed that there were workmen at the back of the church doing repairs
I take it this was from the Sep Quake

He's not there but then he could have been from another church

I remember thinking he looked very young to be a priest of a Cathedral

He's on my DVD but not my photo's talking to the little ones
My husband is sure we saw one of the ladies from the Cathedral shop on TV the other night

I bought an angel for the Christmas tree and we think she served me .As it was so near to Christmas when we got back I put this little angel on the top of the tree as I couldn't find our big one
so strange

... saw a touch of that last night Suzy with the Dean, and they replayed the bit when he was up in the chopper surveying the scene the day after the quake where he said he hadn't cried yet but that it would have to happen.  He certainly was worrying more for the people than the building, sad as it is that such a magnificent landmark building has collapsed but of course tragic that tourists where visiting the steeple 


A couple of strong aftershocks this morning 2 over 4, a 4.3 at 10.35 and first one I've seen on the pages outside of Chch for a few days, a 4.1 White Island albeit deeper ...

Very strong aftershocks this morning.  The 4.3 thankfully happened after my food shopping.  I was sitting outside with my cup of coffee enjoying the sun.

I was told by a geologist that the fault line should be going West to East, and hopefully should move more out to sea in the coming weeks/months.  Which it does seem to be doing.
 
Ulcer getting much better, still there, but was able to have a little food this morning without too much pain.

Will be getting the children doing their school work today. No computers today.

My son is meant to be at camp tomorrow in Akaora.  No way is that happening now.

Schools are still closed for most of this week as far as I know.  Our local schools are fine.

I phoned another friend who's daughter was at camp when it happened, the children were terrified by the time they got home at 10.30pm.  They had to drive over broken roads avoiding rock falls.  Plus the driver said to the parents the children may of seen more than what they should of, so I am not certain what he means by that.  But a few little minds will be on tender hooks for some time.
