Looking for marriage Staffs

Looking for marriage of Samuel Chatfield and Betty (Elizabeth?)
probably in Uttoxeter Staffs district, but not ruling anything out,
circa 1790- 1804.
Any help gratefully received.

Hi Alyson

I've had a look at this one as well but nothing much appeared - the only possible marriage I could find was a Samuel Chatfield to Elizabeth Till on 13 Nov 1836 in Stoke on Trent  :-\  What do you think, its within the time frame and Uttoxeter and Stoke are within distance of each other.

Will leave you to puzzle on this one  ;D

Mmmmmm .......this one is a puzzle, as Elizabeth was born in
Uttoxeter. Other trees seem to have a marriage in 1754, but
I don't see it anywhere!!

Hello,

A tree on Ancestry (which of course may not be correct) has Samuel born in 1766 and a marriage to a Betty Hubbard in Kingston (which is very close to Uttoxeter) on 25th Oct 1792. This would fit in with various baptisms for chidren of a Samuel and Betty on the old family search.

It might be worth trying to contact the tree owner concerning this record. There could perhaps have been a problem with the transcribing of the parish record.
