Herman Burgoyne was born 1908 Grandson of Percival "Percy" Burgoyne and Sarah Ann Nothers.
There must be a story to find on this one - Herman Burgoyne died at the Crucible Steel Mill - He fell into a ladle and apparently the whole ladle was buried with him.  :(

The wife and children seem to follow earlier than 1919 - Can see a Gavin Paterson on a New York Passenger List Born Coatbridge about 1882 and aged 31 years. Travelling Glasgow to New York arriving 14 April 1913 on SS Caledonia. Married. Occupaion:- Coal-Miner. Wife:- Elizabeth Paterson. South Blair. Larkhill. Going to Uncle Adam Johnstone. Flinthill. Youngstown. Ohio.
5ft 9 ins.  Fair Complexion. Fair Hair and Blue Eyes. No distinguishing Marks.

Adam Johnstone had immigrated 1901 and lived in New Jersey 1910 before moving to Youngstown. Mahoning. Ohio. Seems to be married twice - first to Agnes (with one child) and then to Jessie Currie.

New York Passenger List shows - Lizzie Paterson. Born about 1885 West Calder and aged 28 years travelling Glasgow to New York arriving 25 August 1913 on SS California. Also tavelling are John 6. Nellie 5 and Bessie 2 years. Manifest markings indicate that Lizzie was possibly naturalized 15 th August 1939 (6 -83605) -  John in 1937 - 6 -50134 - Nellie 5 Dec 1940  6- 107762  Bessie 15th March 1941  6- 111927
Nearest relative or friend in country from whence came was:- Brother-In-Law :- Harry Peterson. Kimberley Terrace. Notts.
They were going to Washington. PA. to husband Gavin Paterson. 113 Factory Street. Washington.

Family seem to disappear - not picking anything up on Gavin and Lizzie (Elizabeth)

Manifest Markings:-
