Hi Sandra,
 Got some more information on my Paterson's.  Had a visit today from a cousin who has given me some certs from America.   My Great great grandmother arrived in America in 1907 with her daughtres.

Elizabeth Paterson b 26 oct 1890   Ellen Paterson b1 april 1884     Margaret Paterson b 11 june 1879    Mary paterson b24 may 1895.

There were other family members but they all came back too Scotland.  What I have been given is the death cert of my GGgrandmother died 28 march 1910 at 500 east main st 1st monongahala,washington.

Marriage cert for Margaret Paterson to John Sower,both previously married but partners were deceased. which is weir as margarets first marriage in Scotland in 1904 to John sommerville I can not find a death for him between 1907 and 1916.


 Marriage cert for Ellen Paterson to a Michael w hill ion the 16 april 1910 in Monongahela pa.


Was wondering if you could find something there families.

I wonder if this could be a possibility in 1920 ??? The date of the 1910 US Census was 15 th April 1910 and the marriage 16th April 1910

Smith, Washington, Pennsylvania.

Mike Hill 33 Born PA. Occupation looks like Molesman.
Helen O Hill 33 Born Scotland. Immigrated 1908. NA.
Mike Hill 8 Born PA.
Elizabeth Hill 6 Born PA.
James Hill 4 yrs 4 mths. Born PA
George Hill 2 yrs 2 mths. Born PA.

Helen Hill 46 Born Scotland. Married at 29 years

Daughter Hill 4

WW2 Draft for Michael William Hill. Born 23 Jan 1885 Fayette. Pennsylvania. Resides Box 295 Atlasburg. Smith Township. Washington. Pennsylvania. Born Lemont. Pennsylvania. States he is unemployed. The name of the person who will always know him is the youngest daughter - aged 4 on the 1930 Census. This could indicate that Nellie/Helen/Ellen had died by this time  ???
Michael was 5 ft 9 1/2 ins. 160 lbs. Blue Eyes and Brown Hair. Light Complexion and no distinguishing marks. Dated April 27th 1942

WW1 Draft for Mike Hill Born 23 Jan 1885
Washington. Pennsylvania. Miner for Carneige Coal Co. Atlasburg. Washington. PA. Names his wife as Nellie Hill. Dated Sept 1918
