I wondered about something like Chauncey, but don't even know if
it's a real name.
As a test, I originally looked for wills from the same source (TNA)
in Westham or West Ham. Two for Prat, none (anywhere) for Priat, although
that doesn't prove anything - I was just hoping to find a will for the
witness.
If there is a lower case c in each name of the second witness,
their shape is unique to the entire document. It seems to be the
same writer, just done in italics for emphasis, perhaps an italic c
does resemble our modern c, whereas the writer's upright c does not?
