Here is my effort re reply #37.

I don't like the name 'Nathias'. Is it possible the court scribe miscopied 'Matthias'
from the original will?

Slightly different wording for Ellen's legacy. She gets 'benefit' instead of 'use',
perhaps she was a minor?

unto or for the benefit of the said William Clarkson during his apprenticeship and when
and as soon as the said William Clarkson shall have attained the age of twenty five
years upon trust to pay and I give and bequeath the same sum of three hundred
pounds unto the said William Clarkson for his own absolute use and disposal and
I give and bequeath unto my Nephew James Nathias Sackett the sum of one
hundred pounds for his own absolute use and disposal and I give unto John James
Sackett Son of the said James Nathias Sackett the sum of fifty pounds for his own
absolute use and disposal and I give unto my Niece Ellen Jackson the sum of fifty
pounds for her own absolute benefit and disposal and I give and bequeath unto
Charlotte Gibson the now Wife of the said Thomas Gibson the sum of one hundred
pounds for her own absolute use and disposal and I give the like sum of one hundred
pounds unto Ann Turner the Wife of John Turner of Mile End New Road in the County of

executors administrators or assigns shall be entitled to receive what money each respective
legacy hereinbefore given shall produce at the time the same may be sold out or transferred
and I give to each of my Executors hereinafter named the sum of twenty pounds to be paid to
them their executors administrators or assigns within six calendar months next after my
decease and it is my will that the legacies given to the said Mary Clarkson Letitia
Clarkson Ellen Jackson Charlotte Gibson and Ann Turner respectively shall not subject
to the debts control or enslavement of their prevail or any future husband which they or any
of them may respectively have but that their own respective receipts shall be good
discharges for the same as thought she and they respectively were sole and unmarried
and I do nominate constitute and appoint the said Walter Wilcock and the said Thomas
Gibson executors of this my Will and do declare that they or either of them shall

respectively all costs charges damages & expenses which they or either of them may
sustain or be put unto in the execution or performance of the trusts hereof and that

executors and administrators only amd I will and hereby authorise and empower my
said Executors and the survivor of them and the Executor and Executors of this my
Will for the time being to to sell out or transfer ant such Stock and to reinvest the

What can I say? You are an absolute star.  I can't tell you how grateful I am to you, Judy, Nell and Pels. (and anyone I've missed)...

I hope you don't think I'm impossing but Pels is going to Post Conrad's later - and it begins again.
