I know nothing about this site, only the horror stories from family members & friends.

However, their is a "thread" on there that I would love to visit (Walworth Now and Then) but do not know enough about how much data on yourself you have to give.

Can someone please advise me on this, especially as I am not looking at making or finding "friends" on there.

UPDATE:  Never thought of that!!  far too simples ;)  Will give it a try.

You can sign up and not use your true information.  Just remember to jot down what information did you use.

When you do go to the privacy settings and you can lock them right down the default is everyone can see everything, properly used facebook can be as private as you wish.
