St James, Finchampsead COMPLETED
« on: Saturday 19 February 11 19:46 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping that someone can assist me please. I am looking for the marriage record of Martha Marshall b. 1809 in Finchampstead and Henry Barker b. 1809 in Swallowfield. They were married on 8 July 1833 but I am not sure where. I thought perhaps St James may be the church as she was born there.  I would also like to know the names of Martha's parents and any siblings she may have had. Maybe they were baptised at St James?
Many thanks
Dawn

Hi Dawn

IGI (familysearch/record pilot)) does give some results. -

Martha Marshall bp. 16/10/1808 Finchampstead daughter of Moses and Fanny

Moses Marshall/Fanny Spencer married 21/4/1808 Finchampstead.

Henry Barker bp. 11/6/1809 Swallowfield son of James & Sarah Barker.

Sorry couldn't see marriage of Henry & Martha, but hope the above is of interest.

Hi Dawn

Henry Barker married Martha Marshall at All Saints, Swallowfield, Berkshire on 8 July 1833.  Henry was a bachelor and Martha a spinster and they were both of the Parish.  The witnesses were Thomas Barker and John Holt.
