Hi I also picked up this via Google.

My Grandfather was Percy Cooper who owned the fish and chip shop. This was next to Fosbrooks cloths shop which I believe was next to the Co-op store.

My mothers grandparents also lived in Church Fields. I live in Greenhill Kidderminster. I do have an scan of an article from the Kidderminster shuttle regarding the shop which was demolished to make way for the ring road around 1964-5.

As stated the original thread is now closed so have been unable to contact Treefan.

Also my mother worked with Alf Tabs Daughter and I went to school with his grandson.

I would be interested is anyone has any old photos or other information regarding the Horsefair or the chip shop in general.

Regards

I was born in the Eddy Rd in the late 40's.

There are 3 pdf files on this link  refering to the Horsefair.

Hi There

I used to know the Horsefair area well as I was a grocer at 41 Stourbridge Rd (now a house) which was opposite the Queens Head pub (now flats) & went to school at the Sladen in Hurcot Rd - memories  :)
