Catherine Gaw, my G.Grandmother, married Thomas Skinner, a private in the Queens 16th Lancers, in Belfast in January, 1884. I've been able to trace Thomas right back to 1700 or so, but I can find nothing about Catherine except that her father was called Adam Gaw.
Joseph Patterson and Emily Kyles married in Belfast in October 1876. I think Joseph's father was also Joseph, but I can find no trace of Emily except for a record in the 1911 census where she is identified as a 54 year-old widow. I can't find any record of Joseph.
Arthur Lusk and Ellen Fleck (or Flack) were married in June 1865 in Islandmagee 2nd Presbyterian Church. Arthur may have been a seaman and his father was Arthur as well. I've heard through the family that the younger Arthur died at about age 65 with a stroke. Ellen's father was Robert Fleck, of Islandmagee.
I would really appreciate any suggestions or help in tracing any or all of these elusive relatives. I called at PRONI two years ago when I was visiting Belfast from Canada but had no luck.
Many thanks..... Brian
