William Parker married in1918
« on: Wednesday 16 February 11 16:14 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I am trying to trace my ancestor, William Parker. His early life is a bit of a mystery as he was an orphan who got sent to Australia as part of a scheme to relocate impoverished children. He returned to England and he got married to Annie Anderton at Wilne St. Chadd Church in 1918; the index reference is C31/02/034 and is registered at Erewash, Ilkeston. I am trying to find out the names of his parents so that I can trace his family tree. He died in 1964, aged 80 and his death is registered in the Shardlow district. I would be grateful for any information about this subject. Thank you.

jspurs - in your other 2 threads you said you had found his birth, and advice was given on both about how to order his birth cert in order to find his parents names.

Thanks, I am a new member and I am just trying to get as much information and help as possible. I posted the search in the Leicestershire look-ups as I thought that someone might be able to help with the birth side of things. I posted this thread as he was married and died in Derbyshire, so I was hoping for help in this section. I am sorry if I have done the wrong thing!
Thank you for your help.

Dont worry about it, we were all new once. Welcome, by the way!

Is there anything particular you wanted to know further about his time in Derbyshire, on this post?

Normally it is best not to post more than once about the same person, as it can result in different people spending their time looking up and searching for exactly the same things, oblivious that someone else is spending their time doing the same.

Does he name a father on his marriage cert?
