I don't see a possible at the moment except gwast meaning waist
Would it not be a miss spelling or Wastad/Gwastad.

Wastod = Always (Colloquial)
but it could be misp Wastad
but Wastod wen fach = always a little smile

Are you sure that it is Swansea area you are looking at here.
]There was a Llanelly covering Breconshire and Monmouthshire as well.
