Hello

The 1861 census transcriber has Cathrine Reynolds age 10 when it is age 4 on census page
1861 census was taken on the night of the 7th April
so Margaret  could have been a month old usually they write 1 mth

The only birth I can see is a Margaret Treharne march quarter 1861 Neath  Breconshire/Glamorgan

Sorry

Regards Pam

You're very welcome Teresa  :)

When they record 1 on census it can be a child anything under 2 years old. As they didn't always write an age in months for a child under a year old, they often just wrote 1.

I think you said that you have the 1861 birth certificate and it is not the correct one?

Kind Regards
Morgan

Hello Teresa,  :)

I'm so pleased to hear that you now have the correct birth certificate for Margaret Treharne,  born 1st December 1859. Her surname had been written as Traherne instead of Treharne!

Good luck with your future research
Morgan
