I know, I go passed Aberdeen every time I head up towards Dundee and beyond around Glen shee.  But for some reason we never go up on the east coast, my oh always chooses to travel up on the M5, M6 and across to Penrith, then to Perth stop and shop before continuing to Ballater.
Have not been up there for the last two years.

I have the Tough MI book, and have looked on all the census from 1841-1901. In the 1901 the childrens names are Annie, Eliza, Robert and Alexander. Have deaths for all.

Thanks for all your ideas will keep on trudging thru! Certainly have been spending alot on SP!

I take it that you have tried the Alford Family History Society, they keep records of all the families that have lived in the area.  Aberdeen etc.  All the fishing villages, including deaths and graveyard names./areas.
