John Joseph Burke- Born Clonmel Ireland- Lived in London

I am researching one of my grandfathers, John Joseph Burke, but am not making too much headway. The loose facts I have so far are as follows:
Born c1873 Clonmel Co Tipperary Ireland.
Married Ada Maria Britton c1906. Came to England around same time.
Had seven children: Kathleen, Eileen,Marjorie, Gladys, Rose,Winifred, Albert.
Possibly a member of the territorial army, 20th County of London Regiment.
Worked as a 'catering establishment doorman' (Commissionaire)
Died 1927 Fulham London.

I am particularly interested in his parentage, his army and civilian careers.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

I think the marriage reference is later than you thought, Jan qtr 1910, Fulham, 1a 556

If you get the marriage certificate, you should find John Joseph's father's name and occupation.

Can't see them in the 1911 at present, but will keep looking.

From the 1911, it looks like Ada and John had several of the children ahead of their marriage.

They are at 23 Rosaville Road, Fulham.  John is aged 38, born Clonmel, shown as a Door Porter, for a caterers.

Ada is 32, born Paddington, and the children are Winifred May, 6; Kathleen Olive, 4; Albert Earnest, 2; and Gladys May, 8 months.  The two eldest children are shown as born in Paddington, and the younger two born Hammersmith.

Ada said she had been married for 7 years (neatly fitting with Winifred's age), and that there are 4 children on the marriage, all living.
