I have been able to track down my husband's maternal Great grandfather's birth and marriage information but am struggling for any other information. Any help greatly received.

Do you know what part of Dublin he may have been born ?  (i.e. city, suburbs, county)

His birth is before the start of Civil records so you will need to check for parish records. See : Introduction to Irish Records
