Rogers, residing Dover, Maine, enlisted at age 22 on 28 May 1861 as a private, served in Maine, enlisted in Company D, Maine 2nd Infantry Regiment on 28 May 1861, received a disability discharge from Company D, 2nd Infantry Regiment Maine on 21 Nov. 1862, enlisted in Company K, Maine 31st Infantry Regiment on 29 Apr. 1864 as a private at age 24, discharged from Company K, 31st Infantry Regiment Maine on 7 Aug. 1865 as a private, and survived the war.
The pension index mentions the Maine infantries, so looks like that's your guy.
On an index of deceased Union soldiers' headstones, there is a Greenleaf C. Rogers of Company D, Maine 2nd Infantry Regiment buried at or near Midland, Mich.
