There was a Frances RANGER in Ringmer in the 1841 census - aged 70, born Sussex. She was lodging with a DIVALL family - also lodging there was a Philis WHITE and two WHITE children.
1841 ref: HO107/1117 bk 5 f18 p2
ETA: I notice that Henry and Frances RANGER baptised a daughter "Philly" (per IGI) in Ringmer in 1801 - could this be the same person as the Philis WHITE (aged "36") who appears with Frances in 1841?
