An archivist at the Tameside Central Library has confirmed that the address of the John Dillon buried at Christ Church, Ashton-under-Lyne was 1 Bradgate St., A-u-L. That's the same address as on my John's death certificate, so I've definitely found the right one,  :) thanks to your help! I have another trip to the UK tentatively planned for 2012, so visiting that gravesite will be at the top of my Ashton to-do list!

Woo-hoo! RootsChat triumphs again!  ;D ;D

Were they able to give any sort of indication as to whereabouts in the graveyard it is?? If you have a rough location you could ask if anyone local is willing to go and have a look for you and perhaps take a photograph.
